I am also very happy to let you know that, as I told Stef,  we got funding for the Project "LANGUAGE STANDARDIZATION REVISITED: MEDIATIZATION, VERNACULARIZATION AND LANGUAGE IDEOLOGIES IN CONTEMPORARY SPAIN (ESTANDAREV)" from the Spanish Ministry of Research from september 2022 until september 2025. The team is composed of researchers from 9 different Spanish universities and our main aim is to contribute to a greater understanding of the different social and ideological values that speakers of mainland Spanish, Catalan, Galician and Basque attribute to their respective standard and regional varieties, as well as to analyze how they metadiscursively transmit, perpetuate or deconstruct standard language ideologies.

We are currently working on the web and on the design of the corpus of radio and television programmes in the 4 languages of the project, which will serve as a stimulus for the analysis of language attitudes and ideologies.

We are very much looking forward to cooperating with SLICE. We will keep you all informed about future events and publications!!!
