Dear SLICE friends
Barbara Soukup sends her news from Vienna,
– good news about an upcoming (“small invitation-only”) conference on "Standard Languages in Europe: Attitudes and Perception",
– good news about new SLICE members (welcome to Alexandra Lenz and Wolfgang Koppensteiner!),
– good news about a new citizen of the world by the name of Thomas who now is old enough to let his mother “return to the rat race”.
Even if Barbara’s message is addressed to me in parts of its wording, I find it right to reproduce it below so that you receive the last and very sad news from herself.
